Your Whole Life is the Path.
Come Find It.
Tantra Immersion Cohort: A weekly online live course for personal transformation
The Tantra Immersion Cohort is a whole-life course. It sets up the right conditions for you to uncover your true nature. You know that nagging feeling that there's more to life than the material world, and that we were meant for more than what we were trained to do? Or maybe you've been on a spiritual path for years, but your faith still lives mostly in your head. Come find what you've been looking for: a spiritual path that includes your body and your whole life.
Tantra gives us real practices and tools for finding the big questions, and the answers, inside ourselves. It also helps us live a fuller, more whole life. In this cohort we learn big spiritual ideas and then actually try them, so you get to test everything in your own life. The goal is change that lasts.
Along the way, we explore Tantric Yoga (classical Tantra, also called Shaiva Tantra), movement, breathwork, meditation, Ayurveda, sleep rhythms, our attitudes toward life, inherited conditioning, suffering, and freedom. We learn how the body works on the inside, including our energies and chakras (energy centers). We look at our emotional habits and explore the nature of mind, including the parts we don't usually notice or don’t want to see.
Is it a lot? Maybe. But at the end of each class, we remember that our techniques all point back toward our deepest nature, our Self.
Our primary teachings come from Hridaya Yoga, meaning the Yoga of the Spiritual Heart. Founded by Sahajananda, this liberation path brings Classical Tantra, Advaita Vedanta, Hatha Yoga, and Buddhism into a coherent path of awakening. In Tantra Immersion School, we focus both on inner and outer freedom, naming our obstacles as we navigate societal oppression and do the persistent work of dismantling our cultural conditioning. In the end, our teachings and practice attune our bodies, hearts and minds toward a deeper sense of interconnection, gratitude, belonging, acceptance and peace.
The practices can jumpstart a deep clean-out on every level: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. Practices change us in big ways, but a calm, curious attitude and a sense of our spiritual essence are at the heart of the teachings. We stay grounded, go slow and stay in a rhythm we can digest. And with experienced mentoring, the path gets a lot clearer and a lot easier to walk.
This cohort comes with some real gifts: deep relaxation, a break from daily stress, and a whole new set of conditions for change. It also opens us to the sacredness of the body itself, one of the cornerstones of Tantra. (Yes, your body. Even the cranky knees.)
And then there's the community, which might be the best part. This is a beloved community of real people you meet live, week after week. You share with them, cry with them, laugh with them, and even show them your ugly parts. They can't wait to see you next week, and they check in when you're away. There's no pretending here. You just show up exactly as you are, mess and all, and are met with love. Then we get to watch what happens…through steady practice, we all get brighter, shinier, kinder, and less attached to our daily drama.
What most of us have been missing on the path of awakening is people to awaken with. Come find your people at Tantra Immersion School, where all of you is welcome.
The cohort runs in two cycles. Tantra Embodied (January to July 2027) starts in the body. Tantra Alive (September 2027 to February 2028) is where the practice meets real life. Each one stands on its own, so join either one, or take the Full Cycle.
“Fuse the powers of the sacred heart with the energies of the body, and you can transform everything.”
— Pierre Teilhard de Chardin
Half-Year or Full Year Cycles
New this year! As we seek to increase access to our Tantra Immersion Cohort, we offer a few new ways to engage.
Tantra Embodied (Winter Start)
January 14 to July 15, 2027 | Thursdays, 3 hours | Online
Tantra Embodied begins in the body. Over seven months we practice together every week, build a daily practice, and get to know our physical and subtle anatomy: the breath, the energy body, the chakras, our physical choices like nutrition and body rituals. We pay close attention over these seven months to how our Tantra practice affects how we feel.
You’ll learn and practice:
Physical asanas and movements
Energetic awareness and chakra activation techniques
Emotional regulation tools and Tantric methods for accepting, channeling, and releasing emotional energy
Meditation and mindfulness practices to reduce anxiety, increase insight, and build self-trust
Spiritual rituals, consecration, and embodied connection to the Spiritual Heart, Hridaya
The Modules:
Module 1: The Microcosm and Macrocosm of Tantra - The View and Practice (9 weeks)
Module 2: The Chakras: Practicing An Embodied Map of Consciousness (8 weeks)
Module 3: Deepening Tantra with Applied Ayurvedic Practice (8 weeks)
Each class is three hours, which gives us time for:
Building community
Discussion, questions and personal sharing
Tantric teaching
Embodied practice
The online silent retreat, May 14-16, 2027, is part of Tantra Embodied, or you can take the online retreat anytime during your cohort.
You don't need any experience. If you're new to Tantra or wanting to build a sustainable practice on your mat, this is a good place to begin.
Tantra Alive (Autumn Start)
Sept 16, 2027 to Feb 3, 2028 | Thursdays, 2 hours | Online
Tantra Alive is where the practice meets our lives. Over five months we turn toward the heart, unpacking our values, deconditioning our inherited beliefs, finding deep rest, and revealing a deeper layer of inner freedom.
You’ll learn and practice:
The inner and outer attitudes of Tantra Yoga (the yamas and niyamas)
What karma is, and the path of karma yoga (the path of liberated action)
Yoga Nidra, the Yoga of Sleep, which includes trauma healing and regulation, sleep rhythms, and lucid dreaming techniques.
Deep inquiry into your inherited conditioning and belief systems
Spiritual rituals, consecration, and embodied connection to the Spiritual Heart, Hridaya
The modules:
Module 4: Living our Values - Tantra Yoga in Daily Motion (8 weeks)
Yoga Nidra Module: 4 Weeks of Deep Rest (4 weeks)
Module 5: Living with Care - Integrating Our Practice Inward and Outward (5 weeks)
Each class is two hours, which gives us time for:
Building community
Discussion, questions and personal sharing
Tantric teaching and weekly applications
We take a break from December 16 to 30. The online silent retreat, November 19-21, 2027, is included in Tantra Alive, or you can take the online retreat anytime during your cohort.
Newcomers are welcome. You don't need any prior experience. If you're new to Tantra or wanting to immerse in off-the-mat liberation practice, start right here. Previous participants are encouraged to join us again, as there’s always more to reveal in the embodied practice and community.

Our Cohort Modules
Drop down any of the six modules below for a description of their content and practice.
-
Tantra Embodied | 9 weeks
Module 1 opens with foundational teachings of embodied non-dual Tantra that zoom us outward to offer a spiritual framework and inward toward our present moment, in-the-body awareness. The teachings and practices deepen as we progress, creating a whole-life approach to integrating Tantra, both on the mat, away from life's demands, and in the midst of our relationships, work, community, and personal growth.
Module 1 begins with the basics with questions like, "What is Tantra? What is Yoga? What is Nonduality? What do they mean in my life?" All our techniques are rooted in the philosophy of the Consciousness of Oneness, beyond dogma or religious interpretation. People of all faith backgrounds or just beginning to explore spirituality will feel welcome in our explorations.
Students are encouraged to listen from the heart, to experiment with the teachings, and to remember that inner freedom is always our True North. We come together to reveal the background of being that we already are: our limitless Heart.
We highly encourage Tantra Embodied students to aim for an on-the-mat practice 3-5 days per week to integrate our progressively building practice. Don’t worry, we’ll show you how.
-
Tantra Embodied | 8 weeks
Module 2 turns toward the subtle body, the energetic being that underlies our physical, emotional and mental bodies. Over eight weeks we explore the chakra system as a living map of consciousness, one we can feel in our own bodies and recognize in our own lives. We look at each level of consciousness through the lens of everyday lives: our relationships, work, and the everyday patterns we carry. This module continues our awakening to the Spiritual Heart, Hridaya.
In this module, you’ll:
Learn the subtle anatomy and chakra system, level by level
Practice body-, breath-, mind-, and heart-based techniques in class each week
Keep learning Tantric and Ayurvedic cleansing rituals and lifestyle choices
Build a personal daily practice, with the support of teachers and community
Come to know the views of Tantra through the body, breath, and heart, and let faith arise from your own lived experience
Weekly practice will directly relate to our chakra focus. We make it simple and accessible, and offer accountability in ways that support your personal commitment.
-
Tantra Embodied | 8 weeks
Module 3 is a journey into the body through Ayurveda. Over eight weeks we get to know our own constitutions (doshas) and the food and lifestyle choices that support us, and we learn to look inward and notice what influences our bodies based on our daily choices.
In this module you’ll:
Learn the Ayurvedic constitutions (doshas) and what they mean for your own body and mind
Understand the three universal energies (gunas) which give us clarity when we feel murky, stuck or run down
Practice impactful cleansing techniques (kriyas)
Explore dietary recommendations according to Yoga, Tantra, and Ayurveda, including a cooking class
Emphasize your own intuitive practices and eating habits
Become familiar with the many factors that shape how your body feels
Understanding our own bodies is an essential step on the path to personal and spiritual growth. This module, the last of Tantra Embodied, shows us how to listen inward with care, try new experiments, and reinforce all the shapes liberation practice can take.
-
Tantra Alive | 8 weeks
Module 4 opens Tantra Alive, with new and returning students to our Tantra Immersion Cohort. This is where our practice meets our daily lives. Over eight weeks we explore how every thought, word, and action can align with our deeper values, and we bring compassionate awareness to the shadows of unconscious motivations.
In this module you’ll:
Study the five yamas, the universal attitudes in the Yoga and Tantra traditions, one each week
Finish with a dive into Karma Yoga, the yoga of surrendered action
See how your thoughts, words, and actions can align with your deeper values
Liberation practice takes a new shape in Module 4, with more applications on a mental, emotional and relational level. With beloved community and witnessing hearts, we keep gently chipping away at our inherited conditioning to reveal our True Nature.
-
Tantra Alive | 4 weeks
New in 2027! We end the calendar year with a 4-week immersion into Yoga Nidra, the Yoga of Sleep.
Yoga Nidra is a profound meditation practice and science of consciousness rooted in classical Tantra. Over four weeks we rest in the space between waking and sleeping, where the nervous system can settle more deeply than it usually does and old patterns begin to loosen on their own. You don’t need meditation experience or any physical ability. You lie down, you’re guided, and the practice does the unwinding.
In this module you’ll:
Receive weekly guided yoga nidra journeys into the space between waking and sleeping
Learn Tantra yoga teachings from the classical roots of the practice, a path for recognizing the awareness that underlies all experience
Explore practices for trauma healing, for better sleep, and for lucid dreaming, along with practical sleep research
Take home practical tools to carry the ease of Yoga Nidra into daily life
Be held in a virtual community of people who are also softening and unwinding
Recordings of each practice session are provided for your home practice. There are no prerequisites, and this module is also open to everyone as a standalone course as well.
-
Tantra Alive | 5 weeks
Module 5 is the last module of Tantra Alive. Over five weeks we explore how our practice lives both inwardly and outwardly, through the niyamas, inner attitudes of Tantra Yoga, and a deeper look at our core practices.
In this module you’ll:
Learn the five niyamas, the personal observances that make up the second half of the Tantric attitudes
Cultivate self-care as we integrate this immersive journey
Feel the inner and outer alignment of living our values and practicing our teachings
For students on the Full Path, this module also completes the Tantra Immersion Cohort. We hope it leaves you with more questions than answers and an even deeper quest of Self-discovery and Self-realization.

Joining Tantra Alive without Tantra Embodied
You don't need Tantra Embodied (winter start) to join Tantra Alive (autumn start). All of our cohorts and Tantra Modules are meant for newcomers and experienced practitioners alike.
The path of Tantra is more a spiral than a linear journey: you can step onto the path when you’re ready, open to the teachings at hand, and return to them for a deeper cycle anytime.
Each cohort includes a welcome packet, recorded materials and handouts (written and audio versions), and classes are recorded for cohort participants.
If you'd like to take Tantra Embodied after Tantra Alive, you're welcome to. We’ll offer these cohorts as often as there is interest.

FAQs
About the Course
-
A weekly online Tantra course, taught live on Thursdays by Grace Bryant, the founder and lead facilitator of Tantra Immersion School, and the teaching team. It is rooted in Hridaya Hatha Yoga and classical Tantra, and it runs in two cycles: Tantra Embodied (January to July) and Tantra Alive (September to February).
-
Yes, and it's not like what you might think of when you think of Western yoga. Hridaya Yoga is a deep, internal practice which fuses the power of the sacred heart with the energies of the body. It is a deeply purifying, relaxing and internalizing practice that includes the body, breath, heart and mind. All accessibility levels are welcome (see below for more details). Our physical practice is a gateway for meditation, not a workout.
-
Tantra Yoga is a tradition from the Indian subcontinent that is at least 1000 years old, with roots 3000+ years old. In Tantra Immersion School we study Classical Tantra as an embodied spiritual path of yoga, meditation, and self-inquiry. This course is nonsexual.
-
Hridaya Yoga was founded by Sahajananda. It stems from classical tantric teachings and jnana yoga, direct knowledge of our Divine Self, and it teaches us how to open to our limitless energy and consciousness. Ultimately, the practice opens our hearts deeply and brings the perspective of Advaita, the vision of non-duality, into everyday waking life.
-
No, there is no sexual touch or nudity. Tantra Immersion Cohort is a nonsexual course that teaches a breadth and depth of Tantra practices, including how to relate to our own holistic energies. We do talk about individual sexual energy in a few of our weekly topics as a means to become more empowered and liberated in our own being. All sexual orientations, expressions, and genders are welcome in all our courses.
-
No. You don't need any experience, and our Tantra modules are open to everyone.
-
Anyone who feels called to an embodied spiritual path and wants to practice within a community. Our sessions are all held with simple agreements for conduct and we always track oppression and equity at our weekly gatherings.
-
No. The Tantra Immersion Cohort is for your personal study and practice.
The Tantra Immersion Facilitator Training is offered every few years. It is a separate course.
Choosing a Cycle
-
No. Tantra Embodied and Tantra Alive each stand on their own. Join either one, or take the full path.
-
Tantra Embodied (January to July) builds a daily practice and teaches the map of the body, breath, energy, chakras, and Ayurveda.
Tantra Alive (September to February) brings the practice into daily life through ethics, karma yoga, yoga nidra, and the niyamas.
Embodied meets for three hours a week, and Alive for two.
-
Yes. Tantra Alive begins in September, and newcomers are welcome.
-
If you want to build a daily practice and learn the map of the body first, start with Embodied. If you're drawn to ethics, relationships, and rest, or you'd like a shorter season, start with Alive. Not sure? Book a free 20-minute discovery call.
-
Yes. If you start with Embodied, Alive begins in the autumn after two months of rest. If you start with Alive, the next Embodied will begin within 1 year.
-
We take a two-month break, July 16 to September 15, 2027, for rest and integration.
Tantric Hatha Yoga will be guided weekly for those wishing to continue their community practice.
-
Right now the Tantra Embodied Modules (1, 2, 3) are not offered individually. Only in the Winter Cohort.
We will offer The Tantra Alive Modules (4, 5, and Yoga Nidra) as individual modules in 2027. So you can join Tantra Alive or Module 4, Yoga Nidra, or Module 5 separately, but they will not include the online silent retreat.
Individual module sign ups will open in mid-2027.
Schedule & Format
-
Thursdays, in Pacific Time. Embodied meets 9am-12pm or 6-9pm, and Alive meets 9-11am or 6-8pm, as a morning or evening cohort.
Most people have a primary morning or evening cohort they join regularly, but everyone has the flexibility to join either class each week.
-
Embodied runs January 14 to July 15, 2027, about 25 weeks of class over seven months.
Alive runs September 16, 2027 to February 3, 2028, about 17 weeks of class over five months, with no class December 16 to 30.
-
Classes are taught live online, and each class teaching is recorded and available to students after class.
-
You can watch the recording at any time. We encourage students to attend at least 80% of each module to deepen your understanding of progressively introduced topics.
-
Each Tantra Embodied class holds time for community, discussion and questions, Tantric teaching, and practice on the mat.
Tantra Alive focuses on weekly applications for daily life instead of on-the-mat practice. Facilitators can also arrange office hours if questions come up that class time doesn't address.
-
We highly encourage a commitment to regular practice for everyone in this course.
We provide handouts in written or audio format that accompany weekly teachings and deepen your holistic understanding. These are not required materials, but helpful supplements.
-
Your course materials, a quiet place where you can focus and meditate, and space to spread out a mat or towel for Hatha yoga.
For Tantra Embodied (Winter Start), please eat at least 30 minutes before the start of class as some of our practices cannot be done within 2 hours of eating and we get on our mat in the last hour of class.
-
Tantra Embodied covers Module 1 (The Microcosm and Macrocosm of Tantra - The View and Practice), Module 2 (The Chakras: Practicing An Embodied Map of Consciousness), and Module 3 (Deepening Tantra with Applied Ayurvedic Practice).
Tantra Alive covers Module 4 (Living our Values - Tantra Yoga in Daily Motion), a four-week Yoga Nidra Module (The Yoga of Sleep), and Module 5 (Living with Care - Integrating Our Practice Inward and Outward).

Accessibility, Inclusion & Cultural Honoring
-
Tantra Yoga is a tradition that comes from the Indian subcontinent and is at least 1000 years old, with roots 3000+ years old. While the teachings of Tantra Immersion are as close to traditional as possible, there have been many interpretations of these teachings throughout the years which have often leaned more toward appropriating than honoring Tantra. There has also been a capitalistic and patriarchal tint to the teachings which underlies how they have been translated and handed down.
As a committed anti-racist and queer person, Grace, the founder and lead facilitator of Tantra Immersion, has spent the last 20 years, through study and immersive personal experience, sifting through what's been handed down in their lineages and finding the deepest basis of "Truth" they can access. This path is what they offer in their teachings: a path that both honors the traditional teachings and is aware of the oppressive ways they have been inaccessible beyond white-bodied, spiritual circles for the last 100 years.
Tantra Immersion facilitators are always open to questions and critique about their interpretations and are actively working to update these teachings to be more aware of oppressive narratives, underlying patriarchal interpretations, and societal bias. This is a work in progress and will be for a long time to come. Your participation helps to keep shaping the teachings for the 21st century and beyond.
-
The practices in this cohort are accessible for most bodies and abilities. As our focus is on much more than the physical body, practices can be modified to fit practitioners' abilities. Facilitators are happy to offer individual modifications as needed. Please contact them if you would like to discuss physical or other accessibility needs.
-
Our unique facilitators and team work to accommodate as many learning styles as possible.
For visual learners, there are written materials and occasional slide presentations. For auditory learners, we translate our written materials into audio format, and each class teaching is recorded and available after classes. Our embodied practices, including Hridaya Hatha Yoga, are a kinesthetic learning practice in themselves.
We encourage discussion at multiple points during classes for those that learn in an interpersonal way. Instructors and facilitators can arrange for office hours if questions surface that are not addressed during class. Most importantly, our team is here to help with accommodation needs as they arise.
-
Yoga is for EVERY body. The Sanskrit word yoga translates as "to yoke" or "to unite" and doesn't require a level of physical ability or flexibility. It points to creating deeper awareness and coherence throughout our physical, subtle, and spiritual bodies.
Tantric movement practice echoes our spiritual orientation that our bodies are Sacred and Divine. We can get glimpses of this while out for a walk, while lying down and bringing attention to a particular part of the body, or while moving the body in certain ways. Postures and movement techniques remind us to activate this ever-present Divine energy within.
During all our practices we strongly encourage each student to listen to and respect their body's sensations and thresholds. We will offer modifications as we teach each movement and remind you that each practice is only an invitation, an inquiry into your true nature.
There are no required practices and the energy activation and meditative attitude we are seeking can be awakened in ways that truly accommodate EVERY body.

Yes! Yoga is for EVERY body.
If you practice in a way that supports your actual body, then our physical, energetic, emotional, and mental practices will deepen your awareness over time. In many cases, the movement practices can gradually increase the range of motion in joints that are tight or injured, if you go slowly and at a pace that supports you.
Please share any injuries and physical accommodation needs with your facilitators so that we can cue suggestions to support you.

Yes. Yoga is for EVERY body. It's no secret that Western yoga and Tantra practice has been branded as exclusively white, thin-bodied, and able-bodied. This appropriation is immersed in white supremacy culture, which reinforces fatphobia and ableism. At Tantra Immersion School, we address these oppressive structures explicitly, as well as the resistance, fear and stigmas that often surround our current yoga and Tantra cultures.
Tantra Immersion School is committed to accessibility and to bringing Tantric yoga to diverse liberation seekers. We truly welcome ALL bodies and frame all of our practices with an awareness of physical and mental modifications. We'll share what has worked for other practitioners, and for our teaching team, and invite folks to share their experiences as well. In this way, we strive to break down barriers to accessing these powerful liberation practices.

No. Anyone can learn to meditate, and we all learn differently. Hridaya meditation invites us to notice what's happening in the body and mind, no matter how it shows up. We bring self-compassion to every practice session and a desire to honestly acknowledge and accept our experiences, while being curious what inner conditions we'd like to shift.
Tantric meditation is not about emptying your mind with the expectation of quiet or stillness. The invitation is to watch and witness whatever arises and create space between what is arising and who is noticing it arise.
This can feel like a daunting invitation in the beginning (or for the first few years). But for most, there is a sense of relief in becoming aware not just of the content of our mind, but also of the observer of our mind. Over time, a sense of inner stillness can be more consistently found which brings self-trust and self-compassion.
We offer many short mindfulness practices as well that can be used in everyday life to cultivate this sense of witnessing. With our wide range of practices, each participant can discover which modalities are most supportive for them.

One of our community agreements is to take care of yourself and your body. It's very common these days to feel averse to more digital time in our days. And yet, being online makes our community accessible to millions of people. Virtual spiritual practice and community connection is so new to our culture and, understandably, it does not fit everyone's needs. Our school holds most courses and gatherings online so that we can reach folks around the world.
Our facilitators are here to explore options to help you find ways to engage that feel nourishing.
If you have specific accommodation needs, please reach out to discuss how we might be able to support you. Modifications could include:
• A 1:1 check-in before, during or after a class
• Having cameras on or off as needed
• Staying for most of a gathering but stepping away if you feel drained by being online
• Joining with a phone connection and walking or moving your body during the teaching portions of class
We offer opportunities to gather in person, including our quarterly local Tantra Sangha Days. Our sibling organization, Hridaya Northwest, offers several annual Silent Meditation Retreats in the Northwestern U.S.

The practices in Tantra Immersion School are designed to slow us down. We orient in every gathering to listen inward and attend to our bodies, emotions and minds, noticing what's in our hearts with self-compassion. And we also remind each other that our individual experiences are often amplified in a collective global experience, that we are not alone and can share what's alive, what's hurting, what's joyful, what's confusing with our trusted community.
We aspire to create a grounded, embodied, calm, slow, heart-centered environment in all of our gatherings. While we acknowledge our school environment is not for everyone, we strive to increase accessibility strategies every year. This includes actively undoing patriarchal and white supremacy culture norms.
Many who are drawn to the spiritual path are highly sensitive, deep feelers, empaths, and/or neuro-diverse, and, sadly, may have been left out of the conversation about accessibility in spirituality and liberation communities.
How we offer general and specific accommodations is a regular part of our leadership conversation, including our own personal experiences in similar communities. If you are finding a particular aspect of class challenging or would like to bring an accommodation need or idea to our attention, we strongly encourage you to do so by talking with a facilitator or team member.

Nonsexual Course
This course is nonsexual. There are no intimate or sexual teachings in the Tantra Immersion. We do talk about individual sexual energy in a few of our weekly topics as a means to become more empowered and liberated in our own being.
All sexual orientations, expressions and genders are welcome.
Cultural Honoring
Tantra Yoga is a tradition that comes from the Indian subcontinent and is at least 1000 years old, with roots 3000+ years old. While the teachings of Tantra Immersion are as close to traditional as possible, there have been many interpretations of these teachings throughout the years which have often leaned more toward appropriating than honoring Tantra. There has also been a capitalistic and patriarchal tint to the teachings which underlies how they have been translated and handed down.
As a committed anti-racist and queer person, Grace, the founder and lead facilitator of Tantra Immersion, has spent the last 20 years, through study and immersive personal experience, sifting through what’s been handed down in their lineages and finding the deepest basis of “Truth” they can access.
Scholarships for BIPOC/PGM students and future participants
The container for Tantra Immersion is open to all people. And, there is a loud cry from People of the Global Majority (BIPOC/PGM) to have containers that are not white majority. This has been hard to find in Western spiritual classes and communities.
The Tantra Immersion has an ongoing scholarship fund to support members of our community, prioritizing People of the Global Majority. All current registration fees include a 5% offering to this scholarship fund.
In addition, you are welcome to offer donations to this fund simply by contacting us.
